Growth Mindset
One of the things that I loved about Hult was its propaganda towards the student about the growth mindset's benefits. And it is one of the traits that I truly believe will help me in my life. Since moving to Boston, I have realized that being set on particular thoughts and being fixed on all of your beliefs are a few of the things that genuinely make you a lousy teammate. Not only a bad teammate, but it significantly limits your ability to learn new things and stay relevant as a person and professional. So many people are fixed in their opinion. They do not acknowledge that the world moves on and changes, with the reality of today being completely different than the one tomorrow, which is more true now than ever.
The worst teammates are still the ones who refuse to hear and understand others' opinion or refuse to accept that you can sometimes be wrong. We will soon be entering a new reality, and it will be essential for you to be able to accept this new reality and learn the virtues that are necessary to be successful. If you are stuck in the old reality with a fixed mindset, you will find the new life challenging, and you will be the one who struggles to adapt. Don't be that person! Do you have a fixed mindset? A growth one can be taught, and it is better to start now than later. Read more here.
