About me
Born 2. August 1996, I am a 22 year old student studying Master of International Business in Boston, Massachusetts. Coming from a small town in the end of the worlds longest fjord called Sogndal with 8000 inhabitants, the transition from a small-town life has been great and I wish to share my experiences with everyone. In addition to this, I want to improve my writing skills and analytical skills through Analytics.
I have studied for soon 17 years straight, but have managed to build up a considerable amount of work experience. I started out as a cleaning assistant when I was 12, where I worked until I turned 18, and quickly evolved great work ethics, which came in handy when I started to work at a supermarket when I was 16, where I consider myself to be working still. This has been the most important job, where I got trust and experienced and got to test myself in several different roles including Head of Part-time employees and Assistant Store Manager.
In addition to this I also had several summer jobs, but when I finished High School, I turned my nose towards Bergen, and attained a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Sales Management at Kristiania University College. I lived there for three years and met people I consider to be my best friends, but also people I have learned a lot from. I took a job as Marketing Assistant at the student organization at my school, Studentunionen. At this job I learned how to sell, market, and how to adapt to your surroundings. I got an insight in the business market outside of retail, and with an amazing supervisor and co-worker we achieved a lot for the good of the students.
However, my three years at Kristiania University College came to an end, and I made the decision of leaving the comfort zone of Norway. I left the Norwegian Santa’s cap (an expression among Norwegians) behind, to experience something else than what the common Norwegian student does, and learn how to adapt to the global environment as a foreign student. What better place to do that than Hult?
